I have this group set on my bike , I went from mechanical 9100 Dura Ace to Wheeltop EDS TX , and it’s been flawless. I got it about 3 months ago and live in the USA , NV. I’m very satisfied with it, it shifts all the time every time, and no chain drop yet. I have about 1200 miles on it as of now. I wanted to try something different so I saw Wheeltop, and its versatility is just awesome to say the least, is what attracted me to this particular group set. I believe I’m the first one that got this group set in the states, even before GCP, and bought it with my own money, back in the end of May of this year, just after they went public with this group set, however I could be wrong”!!! I talked to GCP and he said his was working fine and had no issues either with his set as well.

Where did you get the paint job?

I run the 35mm version at 55psi rear, 51psi front. For reference with bike the total weight is 175ish pounds. Mainly for roads and gravel-like 'short-cuts'. Nice review!

Late to party, but I have it on 3 different touring (gravel) bikes with drop bars. initially happy with the damping, but am experiencing compression wear on the elastomer after only a year on the bikes that get the most trail abuse. To be fair, they all have 1” fork shims that may be the cause. At $25 on Amazon, they are cheap to replace, but am moving my two 3-season bikes to Redshift and considering a Kinect metal spring for my 4-season rough trails and sub-zero bike (out of concern for elastomer changes in low temps). The symptoms are more play when pulling up like when bunny hopping and more chatter on chop. Otherwise, I do feel much less shoulder and upper body issues on longer rides of 60-110K. I’m a 58y.o, ex- road, track, and cyclocross amateur racer and still ride a 5cm drop saddle to bars.

This seems like it could really be a competitive option if/when they come out with a gravel model that is 1x and cheaper without the front derailleur. A removeable battery seems like a must to me but supposedly they stopped doing that because of a SRAM trademark. Hopefully they are working around it if true.

Your SRAM loving is showing when you say you like that one button on the left shifter! :P Coming from riding Shimano Di2, when I test-rode a bike with SRAM drivetrain the thing I liked the least was the idea that I wanted to be in "the other ring" when actuating the front derailleur. Sometimes I just want to make sure I'm not cross chaining or that I am actually in the smallest gear combo. There not being any intuitive way to check without it switching to the one I didn't want had me looking at my feet instead of at the road.

I found interior bar ends on my hardtail gives me 90% of what you built. They're shaped like drop hoods which are great for long hours on the non-technical trails.

I would love to see a video of the drop bar levers being used for the dropper. I had no idea that was even possible.

For this bars we have to use short stem like 35 mm for better grip ?

Your weight distribution must be completely off on that bike and you are much further forward on the bike than the designer intended, so going downhill is going to be severely compromised. There is a market for drop MTB's but they need to have older style MTB frames with shorter top tubes, the modern MTB's with long reach are not suitable for drop bar conversions without using a very short stem , which will make the bike very unstable.

I have an old "MTN TEK Vertical" bike that I've been fixing up and riding that looks a lot like this. Bought it new way back when. Are they maybe actually the same company?
